Global Pointe Senior Living is a five-story, 99-unit apartment complex that includes independent-living, assisted-living and memory-care. Apartment styles include studios, one-bedrooms, one-bedrooms with dens, two-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms with two-bathrooms. Square footage ranges from 350 to 1300. The building is located at 5200 Wayzata Boulevard, near the intersection of Hwy. 100 and I-394 in Golden Valley. It's close to downtown Minneapolis, the Shops at West End, Ridgedale, and a variety of restaurants, entertainment and healthcare facilities.
The construction is expected to be completed in late October with residents moving in as early as November 1st. Mark Globus is the managing director at Global One Commercial, the project's developer. SilverCrest Properties will be managing the senior-living community.
Jack Collins, executive vice president at SilverCrest, said the community will be health-forward and emphasize the maintenance of mobility, flexibility and cognition. The community's continuum of care ensures residents can transition from independent-living apartments to assisted-living and memory-care wings as needed, Collins said.
The building will have a distinctively high-end, luxurious feel, Globus said. Among the planned amenities are a workout facility, four-season porch, rooftop deck, billiards room, movie theater and art studio. Rental costs are month-to-month and very competitive for the area.
Greystone Construction Co. is the builder on the project, and Tushie Montgomery is the architect.
Global Pointe Senior Living serves three meals a day in the fine dining restaurant, all prepared by trained chefs and made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The more casual bistro offers delectable pastries, specialty sandwiches and fresh coffee.
